Michael J. Phillips

Michael is a native of Lodi, born on September 21, 1952. He began farming full time with the family business in Lodi just after graduating in 1975 from U. C. Davis. Also at that time he began building his winemaking experience through the production of small lots in his garage. In 1984, with nearly a decade of winegrowing experience under his belt, and a small market storefront available in which to make wine sales, Michael and the family decided to establish a bonded winery. Carignane, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Symphony were the wines made during that first crush. Michael's goal is to show the world of wine drinkers that Lodi can make wine that is as good as the rest of the world!
 

David J. Phillips
Owner, President

David is also a native of Lodi, born on December 14, 1962. He became involved in winemaking as a child. Shortly after graduating in 1987 from U. C. Davis, he went on a world-wide tour of wine regions in Europe, South Australia and New Zealand. In 1989, David joined the family winery full time, with the mission of producing approachable, soft and drinkable wines appealing to everyone. His goal is to do his best to help Lodi become recognized as one of the great winemaking regions of the world.
